I loved the dark, Victorian-esque rigid silhouettes at Gareth Pugh. The collection was inspired by a tribe of woman called the Asgarda that want autonomy from men and live in the Carpathian mountains. I also enjoyed how he mixed with references to mid-century couture. I appreciate how the whole inspiration behind the collection was woman who are strong and want independence from men.
Altough a stereotypical feminist would probably be against fashion, Gareth Pugh's message behind this shows challenges this idea. He proves in this collection that fashion and feminism can work in harmony.
